Public Art “Bottle Tree” Rendition Installation Project
A series of five studio-based workshops where students are guided through the design process in conceptualizing, fabricating and installing public artwork on the breezeway grounds of the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum. Students will create sculptural forms based on “bottle trees” which capture an aspect of the history of African American Culture in Delray Beach. Students will gain a basic understanding of the public art process such as site assessment and site generated artworks. Students will understand and practice fundamental sculpture techniques and concepts such as design, form, line and texture.
